WYNNUM WEST
Taking inspiration from an Industrial style, the selections to this renovation project include gunmetal fixtures to the tapware, door handles and cabinetry handles. The original timber floor boards were refinished to add warmth throughout the home. Matte finishes were incorporated to reference concrete like surfaces. To complement the beautifully refinished timber floors, a bold colour to the Kitchen Island was proposed to generate interest whilst creating a balanced contrast.
Building Designer Stella Franks from Three Stems Design worked with the clients to remove two dividing walls between the Kitchen and Living space as well as between the Living space and Sunroom. This has opened up the floor plan where you are immediately drawn to an inviting open area upon entering the home.
JINDALEE HEIGHTS
Our clients in Brisbane’s south-western suburbs were looking to modernise their home to freshen up some of the fixtures and finishes. It was important to our clients to lighten the finishes of their home, which also needed to be timeless to cater to the potential of selling down the track. Tones of light coastal blues were incorporated through the textured subway tiles to the Kitchen splashback, which complements the beautiful soft tones in the laminate benchtop.
In addition to the Kitchen renovation, we also reselected their flooring, refurbished the stairs, selected internal wall colours and reviewed the existing ceiling light layout. The timber look flooring adds depth and warmth to the spaces. I love how when you enter the home, it leads your eye to the greenery in the sunroom. An open and inviting space to relax with a tea and a good book.
